Ilex Winter Red (female) & Southern Gentleman (male) also known as red winterberry.

These are a great addition to your holiday offerings, making for festive looking planters and wreaths for the winter months. One male plant is required to pollinate the female plants. The male plant will not berry, but it is needed for pollination so the females will berry. We will send one per order. The actual ratio of females to males is 9:1, so if you order 2 packs of 5 we will send you only 1 male and 9 females.
Upon arrival, plant them into a 4" pot to grow more roots for a more established plant. Or plant directly into the ground, making sure to fill in around the roots and keep them well watered.
Willow Cuttings
Willow cuttings are shipped unrooted. Order now + cuttings ship in March.
Plugs & Cuttings
Sea oats, mountain mint, and eucalyptus come in plugs. Mums, dahlias, and geraniums come as cuttings. Both plugs and cuttings come rooted in soil and ship in April or May.
Bareroots
Woody shrubs and herbaceous perennials come as bareroots, ready to be planted in the ground. Bareroots will be shipped in April.
Liners
Our favorite shrub varieties come in 4" pots, ready to be planted. Liners will be shipped in April and May.
