ABOUT SUNNY MEADOWS

Sunny Meadows is a family-owned flower farm specializing in supplying sustainably-grown flowers to florists, designers and flower lovers in Ohio and across the country. Our fresh cut flowers can be delivered directly to your door or you can find seasonal bouquets at select grocery stores and at our Farmstand in Columbus.

Our online shop features a curated selection of heirloom and hard-to-find flowers to grow your own cutting garden. We offer dahlia tubers, fall bulbs, live plants and cuttings of many coveted flower varieties that are not available at big box stores or garden centers. You'll also find handmade seasonal wreaths, holiday evergreens, plus an assortment of dried flowers available year round.

What started as a small patch in Steve and Gretel Adams' homestead garden has grown over the past two decades to become one of the nation's most respected flower farms and a leader in sustainable flower production.

Located just 6 miles from downtown Columbus, Ohio, Sunny Meadows grows more than 500 varieties of flowers on 50+ acres across four farm locations, making it one of the largest urban flower farms in the midwest.

ABOUT STEVE & GRETEL ADAMS

Sunny Meadows was founded by first-generation farmers Steve and Gretel Adams in 2006. The couple's farming journey began on a modest homestead where they raised pigs, ducks, and chickens, canned vegetables from their garden and even made their own soap. It was the unexpected success of their flower crop that set them on a path towards specializing in flowers. And it was their early homesteading experience that helped to hone their skills that would later revolutionize the sustainable flower farming industry and popularize the term "farmer-florist."

In the early years, Sunny Meadows sold fresh bouquets at farmers markets and offered floral designs for weddings and special events. Over time, the farm expanded and the business grew to include direct-to-florist sales and deliveries and bouquet distribution to specialty grocery stores. With their nationwide shipping program, they sell in Ohio and across the country to both wholesale and retail customers.

Today, with a toddler in tow and a dedicated team working in multiple farm locations in central Ohio, Steve and Gretel have transformed Sunny Meadows into a nationwide leader in innovative, sustainable flower farming and farm-direct shipping to florists and flower lovers. Their experience and expertise have made them sought-after and well-respected speakers, teachers, and thought leaders in the floral industry. They regularly share their expertise via workshops, conferences, trade publications and through their own consulting services.

One thing this wild and wonderful journey has taught me is to never underestimate the power of flowers. I’m constantly amazed at the many ways in which flowers can trigger our senses and spark nostalgia. They surround us at life’s biggest celebrations. They communicate happiness, love, empathy, congratulations, sorrow; they are there for us in good times or bad. I love being able to help brighten someone’s day, soothe their sorrow, celebrate an important milestone or simply say ‘hey, I’m thinking about you.’
